4/1 thru 4/3 We drove from New Orleans to Gulf Shores. We stayed at the Gulf shores state park, it’s a park with over 400 RV sites. It has 3 lakes and across the street beach… Wed we just chilled out till the evening then we went for an ice cream at Kayden’s candy factory. The ice cream is homemade and delicious!! Especially the Butter pecan that I had….yummmy! Thursday we went to the Gulf shore pier. It was really fun to see the beautiful beaches with their white sand. It was amazing to see lots of people fishing and on the way out we stopped at the pier’s Bywater beachside bar. Daiquiris and appetizers over looking the ocean was GREAT!!
Friday we headed out for Georgia.
Friday it was smooth driving. We finally stopped about 4 PM right before Atlanta, Ga. We found the F.D.R. State Park. Absolutely beautiful and history rich. There is a museum and statute of Roosevelt. I wish we would have been able to spend more time here.
Saturday off we go again this time to Charlotte, NC. We found a family owned campground that was only 5 miles off route 85. Price $20 cash and it had electricity and water. Oh yes there was a dumping station.
